Affiliate marketing is really a great way to do business. Making affiliate marketing sales can increase your profits and you'll start to see consistent commissions.

What's even better is you don't have to mess around with customer service issues. No complaints, refunds, product related questions etc. You just focus on marketing, advertising and the merchant takes care of the rest.

Unfortunately there are always disadvantages to this method, one being you are only going to get a set commission for a product or service sold. It's not your product, so you have no control over anything else except marketing it. You can't change the price or make any special offers etc. There's limited flexibility on your end.

So how do you boost your affiliate marketing sales and commissions? Here are 3 ways you can increase your profits with Internet affiliate marketing.

1- Choose only the best Internet affiliate marketing programs.

You're not going to have a problem finding an affiliate program, but rather picking the correct one will be the challenge. Here's some important information to think about:

A: Are they going to fairly compensate you for your affiliate marketing sales? Just pass by any program that's not willing to payout at least 50% of the sale. Just think you are really doing all the work to drive qualified traffic to their site. They don't have to do much to get the sale once everything is in place. All that hard work on your part deserves a fair commission.

So expect them to pay you what you're worth. There are a lot of smart merchant's that understand this and they on the average pay more than 50%

B: Are they reputable, do what they say, and pay out when they say they will? Good affiliate programs will pay you on time and on a consistent time interval such as monthly or bi-monthly.

Please make sure you read the fine print of an affiliate programs requirements. You might make some sales, but never get paid for a long time because they require a minimum accumulation of revenue before they will disperse the funds. Most really good Internet affiliate marketing programs have no or low minimums for affiliate marketing sales.

Some good advice would be to make sure you can meet their requirements. If you don't think you can, just find a program that you can do. It's up to you and with the many choices, you can find one right for you.

C: How's their customer service?

You are representing a company when you market their products. Your reputation is on the line and what they do is a reflection on you. Make sure they represent you well.

I suggest you become a customer of the company you want to represent. Buy one of their products and evaluate the whole selling process. See how the transaction went and if the product is really all that they make it up to be. Then go ahead and return it and see how they treat you. If you want to really market this product with confidence and some passion, then this is a must do.

2- Build your own subscriber list

If you build your own list, you will really be able to consistently make more affiliate marketing sales.

So why is that you ask?

Well...an opt in email list can bring in consistent affiliate marketing sales with some good conversion rates

Put forth the effort to build a quality list of subscribers who trust and respect you. By doing this, you will make a lot of affiliate marketing sales to your list over and over again.

I can't really talk about all that is involved on this topic, so I'll give you a brief overview of what it takes to build a list.

A: Develop or have someone write you an informative report, book or mini-course on a subject that would be of great interest to a potential subscriber.

B: Create a squeeze page to collect names and email addresses.

C: Your intent is to get your subscribers to trust and respect your opinions and views. They will acquire this if you provide them relevant and useful information on a consistent basis.

D: While you are helping them with your information, you can start sending them relevant offers of affiliate products that would further help them. Since they trust you and your recommendations, they will be more likely to respond to your offer, if of course, the products are relevant to the subject of your list and help to solve your subscribers' problems

3- Ask the merchant for a better percentage of the commission

As you are able to make consistent affiliate marketing sales, go ahead and contact the merchant to see if he or she can give you more of the profit from the sales of the product. I'm sure they want to keep you making them money, so they will consider it.

To summarize you can increase your affiliate marketing sales by promoting only the top affiliate Internet marketing programs, building your subscriber list and asking for more of the profits. Use these tips and watch your profits soar.
