Taking A Holiday In China - Things To Remember

Weather and Clothing

*Autumn that is the span between September and early November is probably the best season for a trip to China. During this phase the temperature ranges from 50-72F with some rainfall. That makes for a pleasant trip on your part.

* Chongqing, Wuhan, Nanchang and Tianjing are the four hot places that should not be visited during the summer months.

* China has four seasons, spring that stretches from March to May, summer during June and August, autumn which spans from September to November and winter during January and February. Suitable clothing should be carefully packed for the seasons.

* A rain coat is needed even during the summer because it rains at times. Umbrellas are generally weak and poor support against the strong wind.

* Revealing clothing should be avoided as Chinese people are rather conservative. So its desirable to respect their rules and dress accordingly.

* Chinese temples do not allow women wearing skirts to enter. So pants should not be forgotten.

What to Bring into China

* Clothes are not to be worried about when touring China. It is the cheapest here. They also make good souvenirs. It is better to keep the luggage light when coming and buy things on trip.

* The Chinese People are known to be very strict about Christianity, and Catechism. So it is advisable to carry not more than one Bible.

* Apart from narcotics and lethal weapons, food, biological products, waste matters, human body parts, blood samples, microorganisms and animals that can spread diseases are prohibited to enter the country.

* Anything that can prove detrimental to the countrys culture, ethics, politics and economy are also forbidden. Printed matters, tapes and films are closely checked.

On arrival in the country

The first thing to undergo in China is a health check-up. You are allowed to go out into the country only when you do not bring any harmful disease.

Photography

* The aerodromes and military and political facilities of China should not be photographed. * Pictures should not be taken from airplanes.

* When you want to take pictures of any residence or people of China then seek their permission prior to that. * Most of the museums and temples and palaces in China do not allow photography inside. The tourists should be well aware of those restrictions. Only by being aware you can avoid unnecessary hassles. However, at some places photography is allowed subject to a fee.
